A Bit About Me
What are you passionate about in your role?
I love Support Work because I get to give back and spend time with my clients and getting to know them. I am very lucky to have the opportunity to work with some amazing clients.
Why did you choose to work in the mental health/human services sector?
Since from a very young age, I always wanted to 'help people' and wanted to be a doctor. Academically, I am not very rounded in that sense; but there are different ways to give back to the community, not just through medicine.
What do you enjoy most about working at Arise Society?

I love the challenges the work encompasses, and there's no two days that are the same. I love the communication between the team, and I am happy to work with a 'small' team.
How do you approach challenges in your work?
As everyone knows, it's the client's "Choice and Control" - in how they want to 'improve' their health. You may think that a certain thing/choice would benefit the client/s - but the client/s might think differently...and you have to respect that and let them choose what and how they live their life. I think in a whole, that's my biggest challenge that I come across in this work.
What hobbies and interests do you have outside of work?
I do public speaking, dance, model, photograph and blog about my personal mental health journey...yes, I wear many hats outside of work!
